Kathleen Quinlan presented a seminar titled "Engaging Stakeholders in Evaluation - An Interim Evaluation of the NIAID Regional Centers of Excellence for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Disease Research Program" (.ppt) at the Washington Evaluators Seminar on June 25, 2008. Washington Evaluators is a local affiliate in Washington, DC of the American Evaluation Association.
Dr. Kathleen M. Quinlan recently led a skill-building workshop at the April 2008 Eastern Evaluation Research Society Conference: Evidence-Based Evaluation: Balancing Rigor, Relevance and Reality. The workshop, which was co-authored by CSI President and CEO Mary Kane and Client Services Consultant, Brenda Pepe, was entitled "Evaluating a Consortium's Process: Making the Most of Meeting Documentation (.ppt)".
Mary Kane, William Trochim and Kathleen M. Quinlan presented a full day workshop, "Concept Mapping for Evaluation: A Mixed Methods, Participatory Approach" (.pdf) at the American Evaluation Association's annual conference, Evaluation 2007: Evaluation and Learning in Baltimore, MD on November 7, 2007. At the conference, they also presented, with Dr. Jonathan M. Kagan, Deputy Director for Program Development at the Division of AIDS, NIAD, "A Framework for Evaluating Large Scale Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Clinical Research Networks" (.pdf) which is based on work with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Division of AIDS. Mary Kane presented a 1 hour interactive presentation entitled "Complementary Action Partnerships for Achieving Health Equity" (.pdf) at the Society for Public Health Educators (SOPHE) conference in Alexandria, VA, on November 2, 2007.
