Before statements can be sorted or rated, they need to be locked by the administrator. Statements need to be locked because you dont want anyone to change, add or delete statements once others have started sorting or rating. If the administrator needs to go back to edit a statement (e.g., to correct a typing or spelling mistake or to spell out an acronym) you can always unlock the statement set briefly to do this and then lock it again.
Please Note: Once there is sorting and/or rating data, you cannot add or delete statements to a project.
You may lock/unlock the statements at any time from two places. If you are in the statement module, you can lock or unlock the statements from the Statement Menu. If you are at The Concept System Core Program Main Screen, you can lock or unlock statements from the Admin-->Manage menu.
To lock or unlock statements:
From the Admin-->Manage menu, choose Lock/Unlock Statements (If the statements are currently unlocked, the menu will say Lock Statements. If they are currently locked, it will say Unlock Statements.
Note: The administrator should not lock/unlock the statements while users have the system running. All Admin functions should be taken care of before users enter the system.
