Concept Mapping projects include one or more rating scales. Each brainstormed idea or statement will be measured on these scales.

To add a rating scale to your project:

1. From the Ratings menu, choose Add, or click the Add button.

2. Enter the rating name, such as “Importance Rating.”

3. Enter the rating description, such as “Relative Importance of Brainstormed Ideas.”

4. Enter an instruction, or prompt, for the user, such as “Enter a rating from 1 to 5.”

5. Enter Minimum and Maximum values, such as 1 and 5.

6. Enter labels for Minimum and Maximum, such as “Least Important” and “Extremely Important.”

7. Click on Save.

To modify a rating scale:

1. Select the rating from the Rate Name Select box.

2. Edit any of the information already entered (changes are saved automatically).

To delete a rating scale:

1. Select the rating from the Rate Name Select box.

2. From the Ratings menu, choose Delete or click on the Delete button.

3. Click on OK.
